What is an AS2 connection and how does it work?
An AS2 connection is a secure way to exchange business documents directly with a trading partner over the internet. Your AS2 server sends encrypted and digitally signed EDI files and receives an MDN confirming delivery.
Do I need to install AS2 software or run my own AS2 server?
No. AS2 Connection runs the AS2 server for you. You don’t need to install AS2 software, maintain a server or manage certificates on your own infrastructure.
Do I own my AS2 ID and certificate?
Yes. Your certificate is issued in your company name and your AS2 ID identifies your company. Both are portable if you ever change provider or move your AS2 server in-house.
What happens when my AS2 certificate expires?
We track the expiry date, prepare the replacement in advance and help coordinate the new certificate with your trading partner, reducing the risk of an interrupted AS2 connection.
Who is my AS2 connection between?
Your AS2 connection is between your company and your chosen trading partner. Your AS2 ID identifies you, your certificate signs the message and the document is sent to your partner’s AS2 endpoint.
Can I run my own AS2 server instead?
